Liverpool ensure that Roberto Firmino cannot go down against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final match.

At the first meeting at the Camp Nou, Roberto Firmino only played as a substitute.

At that time his condition was not 100 percent fit and he only played 10 minutes.

Firmino's condition seems to be getting worse considering he did not take part in the Liverpool squad when they travel to Newcastle headquarters on Saturday (4/5).
After the confusing news, Liverpool finally ensured that Firmino would also not play in the midweek game when they host Barcelona in the Champions League.

"Firmino will miss the match against Barcelona at Anfield but can come back when the last Premier League party is against Wolves," Liverpool wrote in their official release.

Liverpool said Firmino was still having problems with the muscles he had suffered since training last week.

The same thing was said by Liverpool coach, Juergen Klopp, after the match against Newcastle.

"He won't be ready for midweek," Klopp said.

For Firmino's replacement on the front lines, Klopp has several alternatives.

In the match against Newcastle he installed Daniel Sturridge with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane on the front lines.

In addition there is also the name Divock Origi who scored the winning goal in the match.

Klopp can also re-put Georginio Wijnaldum as false 9, just as he did at Camp Nou.

Salah and Mane can also act as central attackers, something that Klopp has often done this season.
